We have an exciting opportunity for those interested in learning how hand drums are made! Natalie Dana will be hosting a workshop at the Abbe Museum where participants will be able to make their own hand drum to take home with them. Natalie is a Passamaquoddy and Penobscot artist specializing in drum making and is a graduate from the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology.
This workshop is recommended for adults since the use of sharp tools is necessary. Participants will be working with animal hide and should be prepared to get messy.
This workshop will be held at the Abbe Museum’s downtown location. The cost of this workshop is $200. Space is limited, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a place and make payment.
