Gina Brooks, Maliseet, will be hosting a moose hair embroidery and birchbark etching demonstration in Acadia National Park. Gina is one of few artists still practicing moose hair embroidery, a unique northeastern woodland art form utilizing thick moose hair tufts to produce vibrant and intricate designs. Gina will be on hand to guide visitors through her process and answer any questions.
Location: Nature Center at Sieur de Monts
All Cultural Connections in the Park programs are sponsored by Dawnland, LLC, are offered in partnership with Acadia National Park, and are free and open to the public.
