Wabanaki Technology

  • Abbe Museum 26 Mount Desert Street Bar Harbor, ME, 04609 United States (map)

For more than 12,000 years Wabanaki people have lived in the homeland we now refer to as Maine. Over this span of time, the Wabanaki have created technology for living in this environment - technologies that helped them thrive and have a profound influence on their landscape. Every Thursday in July, join us in a discussion led by Abbe educators and learn about Wabanaki technology and inventions. Each week will take a look at a separate adaptation and invention made by Wabanaki peoples throughout the ages.

Participation in this program is included with the price of admission and no prior registration is required. For more information, please contact us at educator@abbemuseum.org or 207-288-3519.
