Booth fees were due on March 15th. If you are a participating artist who has not paid your booth fee, please contact us at 207-288-3519 or email@example.com.
Market weekend, each artist will have a 10 x 10 booth with one (1) 8' x 30" table and two (2) chairs. Tables will be uncovered/unskirted, so please feel free to bring your own decor for your space. Booths will not have sides, so if you have art to hang, please be sure to bring your own setup.
Please note that this an outdoor event, so dress appropriately for Maine weather. And, because we are on an island, the forecast can change considerably each day.
Opening Party & Competition
The Abbe Museum Indian Market kick-off event on Friday, May 17 (at the Abbe Museum: 26 Mount Desert Street) will celebrate the opening of the Market with local cuisine, a special performance, and the opportunity to mingle with friends of the Abbe Museum and other participating Native artists. It will be a one-of-a-kind event that you won't want to miss! Each artist receives one complimentary ticket. Additional tickets can be purchased through the button below.
New for 2019 - We are introducing a People’s Choice and Artist’s Choice Awards competition. These will be selected and awarded during the Friday evening opening party. Artists will be asked to deliver a piece to the Museum between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. that Friday. During the reception, artists and guests will be able to vote using a colored ticket (designating whether they are an artists or event guest). Each category winner will receive a $500 prize, ribbon and recognition throughout AMIM. Artwork will be returned to the artists at the close of the event.
Driving: From Boston (268 miles), follow Interstate I-95 through Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and to Bangor, Maine (exit 182A - I395) and pick up Route 1A to Ellsworth. Follow Route 3 to Bar Harbor. Another route is I-95 to Augusta (exit 113), take Route 3 to Belfast over to Route 1 to Ellsworth, then back to Route 3 into Bar Harbor.
