James Eric Francis, Penobscot
James Eric Francis is Tribal Historian for the Penobscot Nation and speaks widely on Wabanaki place names in Maine. He has been instrumental in educating Maine teachers so that they can teach about the Wabanaki. A self-taught artist, he works in a variety of media and combines traditional expression with contemporary images.
