Annual Community Open House

10:00 - 6:00 (open to close)

Join us as nationally renowned drum group Rez Dog Singers launch the open house with their spirited pow wow style music in the court yard from 10:00-12:00. Butch Phillips, Penobscot will be presenting the art of building a birch bark canoe with video and canoe display from 3:00-5:00. Music by the Sea Concert Series-

For All My Relations: Watie Akins

Music Performance

11:00 - 12:00

Musician and Penobscot Elder Watie Akins will perform music traditional to the Wabanaki people on a hand drum. Watie has spent many years researching and relearning traditional songs and preserving them, along with stories, for future generations.
