Coil basket, 9" x 6"

The large purple basket was created by the oldest member of the Embera tribe that live within the boundaries of the Darien National Park in Panama, west of Panama City.  The Embera village is reached by dug-out canoe, and the maker of this basket greeted Lindy and Tim as the chief of the village.
