Melita Westerlund is an internationally known artist who has lived and created art on three continents. Currently residing on MDI, she regularly exhibits across New England and in her native Finland. Working primarily with steel, aluminum, paper, and fiber media, her recent series, “Environmental Chaos”, was motivated by the degradation of the coral reefs.
